Located on upper Main Street, Uniformz is easily accessible from all Bridgeport districts. We’re located 1 mile south of the Trumbull Mall and 1 mile north of Hartford Healthcare St Vincent’s Hospital, across from M&T Bank. We have ample parking.

 

Company History

 

Uniformz is known for selling only top-quality clothing that meets the tough demands of medical professionals. We never compromise our stellar reputation with mediocre products. Our in-house embroidery services are also very popular with local businesses, medical practices, schools and sports teams.

 

Formerly Nosotros Sports Plus on East Main Street, Uniformz was opened in a larger, more accessible location on Main Street in July 2009. The main reason for this move was to to handle the school uniform needs of Bridgeport parents after a new uniform mandate (K-8) went into effect for the 2009/2010 school season, and the High Schools for the 2011/2012 season.

 

Then in May 2012 we moved Production (embroidery, screen printing, team uniforms and awards) to another location so we could convert the store to 100% retail space. After 2 full months of renovations, fixturing and restocking we were proud to convert to a scrub retail store offering the top brands of scrubs, shoes and accessories. Public school uniforms were finally phased out in 2020. We still service a few charter schools exclusively.

 

Our highly talented Retail team members are Fernanda - Store Manager and Maggie - Store Associate. We all help each other to give our customers the best possible product, and have fun doing it! We are very fortunate to offer products that put smiles on people’s faces.

 

No job is to small... in fact owner Pieter’s favorite saying is: “You’re not worth the big job if you don’t honor the small one”.

 

After spending 25 year in corporate life, Pieter decided he was ready to run his own business. After a short search in early 2009 (during a historic low in economy) he came across a situation where the planets were aligned: Nosotros - a well-established business in Bridgeport that included school uniforms, a new school uniform mandate in Bridgeport for the upcoming school season and - after a trip down Main Street - an available lease on a quality location. The transfer of ownership was made in May and the new location was gutted, remodeled, stocked, and opened in July. Uniformz quickly became the “ground zero” of the back-to-school uniform rush! The Bridgeport PAC held a press conference, TV news crews arrived throughout August and our overflowing parking lot caused some minor traffic jams on Main Street.
